I played 2 years of competitive college soccer while completing my studies, in which both years we finished 1st place in the Northern English College Regions.

Semi – Pro
I played 2 years semi-pro in the Unibond Premier League with Frickley Athletic. I made several appearances in the 1st season whilst playing in the reserves and was ever present during the second season.
1999 – 2001
Barnsley Football ClubPlayed 2 years on a Youth Training Scheme (YTS). This is full-time professional level but also includes education, which is delivered directly through the club. I was ever present for the U19′s team and also made substitute appearances for the reserve team.
Leading up to the 2 years of my YTS I played at the club in the Youth Academy from the age of 11 years old.

Soccer Coach/Camp Director
UK International Soccer Camps, Redlands, CA
Worked the last 4 summers in the South Western United States coaching 4-18 year olds a variety of different soccer programs. The work has been varied and has included recreational camps, team programs, high school programs, and goalkeeper and striker clinics. I have also been involved with providing clinics to local coaches to aid them in their own coaching skill development. The work has been challenging and has involved running camps of up to 150 children and leading a team of 12-15 coaches. I also directed the 2004 AYSO Fall Program in Mission Viejo.

Boys U10 Academy Head Coach
Worked as the head coach of the U10 boy’s team for one season. This included planning and conducting all practices as well as travelling with the team across England and Europe to play in professional organized leagues and tournaments.

Football in the Community Program
This is run in conjunction with the professional club at Barnsley FC and provides a service to the local community through soccer. This is mostly run through in-school coaching and also offers camps and day programs. Children of all ages up to 16 are able to use this service of which all profits are put back into the community.
